Yes!  You also can use your plan to cover your spouse’s and children’s expenses, or any expenses incurred by your dependents (as listed on this year’s tax return.) Please let Wink Eye Care know that you are using a HSA/FSA card, and we can provide a printed or email an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement or tax purposes.

Eligible FSA expenses are health care costs not covered by insurance. Though each individual employer’s plan differs, a variety of items and services may be included. You also can use your plan to cover your spouse’s and children’s expenses, or any expenses incurred by your dependents (as listed on this year’s tax return.)

Most out-of-pocket expenses are covered, including copays, deductibles, vision supplies, wearable products and medical equipment. It’s wise to confirm the specifics of your own account with your plan’s administrator before making any large purchases.

If your employer provides an FSA, you are able to deposit pre-tax dollars into this account and then spend the money on eligible health care products and services. FSA contributions are exempt from federal income tax, federal unemployment tax and Social Security and Medicare taxes.

Typically 10 business days. Please note: glasses may be delayed during the holiday season when there is a higher volume of orders. Because we are a full service optical, we are capable of rush orders, depending on the complexity of your prescription. Please inquire as this is a case by case basis.

Prescription frames and lenses are considered custom orders. We will do our best to resolve any issues you may have with your spectacles. Returns are subject to a $50 restocking and processing fee when a prescription order is canceled after the purchase and invoicing, and a $25 restocking and processing fee for contact lens orders that are cancelled. Returns on glasses returns are only accepted within 15 days (including non-business days) from the date of dispense.  Returns must be free of defects & damage. At our discretion, we may deny the returns of damaged frames and lenses.

Any cancellations and returns are only allowed in-store credit. No refunds are allowed.

Contact lens boxes can be exchanged for another prescription so as long as they are returned undamaged and unopened and within 1 year of your contact lens fitting.

Both lenses and frames have a 1 year warranty. Please bring the pieces of the lenses, or frames, or take photos of the broken glasses in order to fulfill the warranty.

Our office has a strict policy on tardiness for all our patient’s appointments. If we have a full schedule and you’re more than 10 minutes late, we may have to reschedule you in an effort to provide you and the patients scheduled after you the most optimum time possible.

We currently do not have a cancellation charge. However, if you cancel your appointments more than twice consecutively, we’ll ask that you make appointments that can be scheduled the day of and not in advance.

Please cancel your appointment before 24 hours.

Patients who have an appointment take priority. However, if there is an availability when you arrive, we will reserve that time slot for you.

Yes. However, your eyes may be sensitive to light, and your near vision could be blurry. Sunglasses will provide relief. If you do not have any, we provide disposable sunglasses that can be worn over your glasses, or contact lenses. The effects of the drops will wear off approximately 3-5 hours after dilation.

There are two types of eye exams: routine vision exams and medical exams. Vision insurance only covers routine eye exams. If a medical diagnosis was discovered, vision insurance will defer to medical insurance in order to cover the portion of the exam.

Our doctors determine the type of exam based on the diagnosis and the findings from your exam. The type of exam will be billed to the appropriate third-party payor. For example, if you have diabetes, the exam will be billed to your medical health insurance instead of your vision plan. Common reasons for a medical exam include, but are not limited to: cataracts, diabetes, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, strabismus, eye infections, eye injuries, and floaters.
