Are family members covered as well?
Yes! You also can use your plan to cover your spouse’s and children’s expenses, or any expenses incurred by your dependents (as listed on this year’s tax return.) Please let Wink Eye Care know that you are using a HSA/FSA card, and we can provide a printed or email an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement or tax purposes.
What does FSA eligible mean?
Eligible FSA expenses are health care costs not covered by insurance. Though each individual employer’s plan differs, a variety of items and services may be included. You also can use your plan to cover your spouse’s and children’s expenses, or any expenses incurred by your dependents (as listed on this year’s tax return.)
Most out-of-pocket expenses are covered, including copays, deductibles, vision supplies, wearable products and medical equipment. It’s wise to confirm the specifics of your own account with your plan’s administrator before making any large purchases.
How does an FSA work?
If your employer provides an FSA, you are able to deposit pre-tax dollars into this account and then spend the money on eligible health care products and services. FSA contributions are exempt from federal income tax, federal unemployment tax and Social Security and Medicare taxes.

How long does it take to receive my glasses?
Typically 10 business days. Please note: glasses may be delayed during the holiday season when there is a higher volume of orders. Because we are a full service optical, we are capable of rush orders, depending on the complexity of your prescription. Please inquire as this is a case by case basis.
What is your return policy for glasses?

What is your warranty policy on glasses?

What is your tardiness policy?
Our office has a strict policy on tardiness for all our patient’s appointments. If we have a full schedule and you’re more than 10 minutes late, we may have to reschedule you in an effort to provide you and the patients scheduled after you the most optimum time possible.
What is your cancellation policy?
We currently do not have a cancellation charge. However, if you cancel your appointments more than twice consecutively, we’ll ask that you make appointments that can be scheduled the day of and not in advance.
Please cancel your appointment before 24 hours.
Do we accept walk-ins?
Patients who have an appointment take priority. However, if there is an availability when you arrive, we will reserve that time slot for you.
Can I drive after my eyes have been dilated?
Yes. However, your eyes may be sensitive to light, and your near vision could be blurry. Sunglasses will provide relief. If you do not have any, we provide disposable sunglasses that can be worn over your glasses, or contact lenses. The effects of the drops will wear off approximately 3-5 hours after dilation.
Why do you need my medical insurance information?
There are two types of eye exams: routine vision exams and medical exams. Vision insurance only covers routine eye exams. If a medical diagnosis was discovered, vision insurance will defer to medical insurance in order to cover the portion of the exam.
Our doctors determine the type of exam based on the diagnosis and the findings from your exam. The type of exam will be billed to the appropriate third-party payor. For example, if you have diabetes, the exam will be billed to your medical health insurance instead of your vision plan. Common reasons for a medical exam include, but are not limited to: cataracts, diabetes, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, strabismus, eye infections, eye injuries, and floaters.
